Dick Schey began his career as a newspaper reporter, following which he joined a major New York City advertising and public relations agency. After earning his stripes on Madison Avenue, he worked for Schlumberger initially as Advertising Manager and later as assistant to the President. Five years later he founded Schey Advertising as an industrial agency. In time the agency expanded operations to include a broad array of marketing services with clients in most of Houston’s other business sectors. Dick’s business philosophy has always been: “We exist to make the needle move for clients.”
